The BAU Trade Fair Munich is one of the most important specialist trade fairs worldwide for architecture, materials, and systems – and it will launch again in 2027. On behalf of the company Corotop, I was present as a trade fair photographer at the BAU Trade Fair Munich and was privileged to photograph and film their impressive exhibition stand.
The commission for Corotop is an excellent example from my reference list – and demonstrates how I showcase exhibition stands for companies in the construction industry.
Corotop exhibition stand – more than just four walls
An exhibition stand is more than just floor space. It is a business card, a meeting zone, and a brand message all in one. Corotop proved this impressively at the BAU Trade Fair Munich. Their stand was not only designed with visual sophistication – it was a vibrant meeting point for architects, planners, and buyers from all over the world.
My task as a trade fair photographer was to capture exactly that: the atmosphere, the interactions, the moments when a conversation turns into a business deal. And of course, the stand itself – in all the details that make the difference.
What makes for good trade fair photography?
Anyone who has exhibited at a trade fair knows: things move fast. The halls are loud, the lighting is artificial, and there is hardly any time between customer meetings. That is exactly why it is important to have a trade fair photographer who knows their way around the fairgrounds – discreet, efficient, and with an eye for the decisive shot.
For Corotop, I produced both stand photos and trade fair videos. The photos show the stand in quiet moments – ideal for marketing material, websites, and social media. The videos capture the energy: crowded halls, engaged employees, interested visitors.
